Join artist Evelyn Contreras and learn about the historical components that created the first GIF and its present day cultural renaissance. The virtual lecture will be followed by an interactive workshop. Participants will be introduced to GIF-making through the Photomosh program, which is free to use online.

Participants are encouraged to have personal photography or found imagery saved on their computers to use in the creation of their own GIF. Attendees will leave the workshop with many GIF variations and knowledge of the historical and cultural components that make up the GIF.

This virtual event is free, registration is required.
