Kick off summer with the Torrance Cultural Arts Center’s free gift to the community—the second annual South Bay Festival of the Arts from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Center, 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance.

The entire family can enjoy musical entertainment, local artists, eateries, craft breweries and tons of family fun. Ongoing entertainment will take place on all three stages—the Armstrong Theatre, the Torino Plaza Main Stage and the Nakano Theatre.

Popular bands and musical artists will play everything from classic rock to rockabilly, soul music to folk songs. Look for performers such as Aileen Quinn & and Leapin’ Lizards, Andy & Renee, Rebel Rose among others.

Throughout the day there will be free family activities for children of all ages, including art projects, storytelling and craft projects.

New this year is the Enchanted Garden, located in the Japanese Garden. Look for Dennis Forel, a “balloon sculptor,” in the garden, among other children’s entertainers.

Restaurants and breweries with food and beverages available for purchase include: Brio Coastal Bar and Kitchen, King Harbor Brewing, Pink’s Hot Dogs, Red Car Brewery and more.

Participating artists include DC Jewelry Designs, Diva Beads and Destination Art artists among others.

VIP tickets are available for purchase at $150, which includes reserved parking, VIP seating in all theaters, access to the air-conditioned VIP lounge with complimentary food and beverages and access to private restrooms.
