Before Aug. 15, an unlocked vehicle was entered and multiple debit cards were removed.
About 1:38 p.m. in the 400 block of Via Almar, officers were dispatched to the area regarding a suspicious person and arrested someone for mail theft. The stolen mail was subsequently returned to the homeowner.
Before Aug. 17, a resident’s credit card information was obtained by unknown means and used to make several unauthorized transactions.
About 11:38 p.m. at Palos Verdes Drive North and Silver Spur Road, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Before Aug. 18, a resident’s credit card information was obtained by unknown means and used to make several unauthorized transactions.
About 12:15 a.m. at PV Boulevard and Paseo De La Playa, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist and arrested the individual for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Identity theft/drugs/warrant arrest
About 11:01 p.m. in the 700 block of Paseo Del Mar, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for possession of stolen credit cards, possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding felony warrant.
About 4:08 p.m. in the 3900 block of Palos Verdes Drive North, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.
About 9:19 p.m. in the 1300 block of Paseo Del Mar, an officer investigating an illegally parked vehicle arrested an individual for an outstanding warrant.

Attempt burglary (residential)
About 12:36 a.m. in the 6800 block of Abbottswood Drive, a rear window screen was removed and pry marks were found on the outside edge. No loss was reported.
Petty theft (package)
About 5:02 p.m. in the 28700 block of Seamount Drive, denim jackets were reported stolen from a front porch.
Grand theft (bicycles)
Between about 5:45 and 8:30 p.m. in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road, 2 bicycles were reported stolen.
Between about 3 p.m. Aug. 19 and 1 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 29600 block of Stonecrest Road, a post hole digger, a saw and a roto hammer were reported stolen.
During this time, one suspect was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon; one for trespassing; three for vehicle violations; and two for outstanding warrants.
Between about 8 a.m. 4 p.m. on Sagebrush Lane, front windows were left slightly down and a purse, ear buds, driver’s license, miscellaneous debit and credit cards and money were reported stolen.
Rolling Hills Estates
About 1:28 a.m. in the 800 block of Silver Spur Road, a front glass door was smashed. No further information was available.
Grand theft (shoplifting)
About 4:36 a.m. at an open business at the Peninsula Shopping Center, miscellaneous alcoholic bottles were reported stolen.
During this time, one suspect was arrested for being an accessory after the fact; one for domestic violence; one for grand theft auto; and one for receiving stolen property.
