Scholarship applications are being accepted between now and April 1 for high schoolers planning to study architecture or civil engineering in college.
Palos Verdes Homes Association awards The Harry M. Brandel Jr. scholarship to college bound Palos Verdes Estates and Miraleste students.
The scholarships were established 20 years ago in 1999 and are named after the late PVHA director and president.
Last year, four scholarships were awarded. The number and amount of awards are determined each year by the PVHA board, according to spokesperson Suzie Balentine.
Students showing interest in architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, historic preservation, land use planning or fine arts are welcome to apply.
For more information, visit PVHA.org or pick up an application at the Palos Verdes Homes Association office at 320 Palos Verdes Drive West in Palos Verdes Estates. Applications are also on site at local high school and college career centers.
Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2019.
