Drugs

At about 2:47 a.m. in the 300 block of Via Almar, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and misappropriation of lost property.

Vandalism

Before about 10 a.m. in the 2400 block of Paseo del Mar, a pumpkin was used to smash a victim’s mailbox and knock it to the ground.

Public Intoxication

At about 10:30 p.m. in the 300 block of Via Almar, officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest and arrested a subject for public intoxication.

Oct. 28

Warrant Pick Up

At about 1:58 a.m. at the Long Beach Police Department, an officer picked up a subject who was arrested on a Palos Verdes Estates Police Department warrant.

Public Intoxication

At about 9:28 p.m. in the 500 block of Via Media, officers responded to a report of an unwanted guest and arrested a subject for public intoxication.

Oct. 31

Traffic Offense

At about 11:09 p.m. at Cloyden Road and Palos Verdes Drive West, officers conducted a traffic stop and cited a juvenile for driving under the age of 21 with a blood alcohol content of between .05 and .07 percent, speeding and violating a restricted license permit. A passenger was cited for a curfew violation.

Identity Theft

Before Nov. 1 in Lakewood, a victim’s personal checking account information was obtained by unknown means and a fraudulent check was passed.

Identity Theft

Before Nov. 3 in the 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West, a victim’s personal identifying information was obtained by unknown means and used to open an account with Dish Network.

Nov. 4

Missing Person

At about 12:09 a.m. in the 2400 block of Via Campesina, an officer was dispatched to the PVEPD lobby regarding a missing juvenile who was last seen Nov. 4 at about 6 p.m.

Theft

At about 10 a.m. in the 2200 block of Thorley Place, a victim was contacted by someone claiming to be a head manager who said someone had attempted to access the victim’s bank account. The person told the victim the situation could be resolved if they sent $100 to sign up for AOL/Microsoft security. The person told the victim to fax a check with only the amount written in and with their signature on the back.

Impaired Driver

At about 11:03 p.m. in the 400 block of Palos Verdes Drive West, an officer conducted a traffic stop and arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Traffic Offense

At about 1:27 p.m. in the 1800 block of Via Olivera, an officer conducted a traffic stop and cited the driver for driving without a license.

Theft

At about 2:36 p.m. in the 2800 block of Palos Verdes Drive West, someone posing as an IRS agent contacted the victim and told them they had an outstanding balance and a warrant out for their arrest. They then instructed the victim to purchase three gift cards and provide the card numbers.

At about 9 p.m. in the 300 block of Palos Verdes Drive West, an officer conducted was dispatched to the PVEPD lobby and arrested a subject who had an outstanding warrant.

Burglary (church)

Between about 9:45 p.m. Oct. 27 and 7 a.m. Oct. 28 in the 5600 block of Montemalaga Drive, the window of a church was smashed.

Grand theft

Between about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 9:30 am.. Oct. 30 in the 600 block of Grove Oak Place, jewelry was reported stolen.

Grand theft

Between about 10 p.m. Oct. 29 and 6 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 28900 block of Western Avenue, a paint sprayer, lift remote control and body harness were reported stolen.

Petty theft

At about 6 p.m. in Sea Cove Drive, Halloween decorations were reported stolen from a front yard.

Burglary (vehicle)

Between about 6 p.m. Oct. 31 and 6:13 a.m. Nov. 1 in the 29600 block of Western Avenue, the driver’s side window of a vehicle was smashed and a backpack, wallet and paycheck were reported stolen. A man was seen hiding between vehicles near the entrance of the parking garage.

Grand theft (auto)

Between about 5 p.m. and noon in the 5500 block of Graylong Street, keys were used to gain entry to a white four-door 2006 BMW M5 and the vehicle was reported stolen.

Burglary (vehicle)

Between about 1 a.m. and 5:55 a.m. in the 29600 block of Western Avenue, the front and rear passenger side door windows of a vehicle were smashed.

Burglary (residential)

At about 8:35 p.m. in Via del Cielo, a rear glass door was reported smashed.

Nov. 3

Burglary (other)

Between about noon Nov. 3 and 7 a.m. Nov. 6 in the 29699 block of Western Avenue, a monitor and storage device were reported stolen.

Nov. 5

Burglary (garage)

At about 3:39 a.m. ni the 3400 block of Corinna Drive, a pouch, U.S. currency, makeup bag and drill were reported stolen.

Petty theft (unlocked vehicle)

Between about midnight and 10 a.m. in the 3600 block of Greve Drive, a golf bag with clubs was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Petty theft

Between about 1:50 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. in the 28900 block of Western Avenue, a purse, driver’s license and U.S. currency were reported stolen.

Nov. 6

Burglary (residential)

Between about 6:18 p.m. and 10 p.m. in the 6300 block of Sattes Drive, a rear glass sliding door was reported smashed and a laptop, social security number, passports, safes and jewelry were reported stolen.

Arrests/citations

During this time, one suspect was arrested for domestic violence, one was arrested for kidnapping, one for trespassing and one for vehicle violation charges.

Oct. 27

Burglary (vehicle)

At about 4:30 a.m. in the 27300 block of Hawthorne Boulevard, the front passenger side door handle was damaged and subwoofers and an amplifier were reported stolen.

Nov. 3

Grand theft (shoplifting)

At about 2:19 p.m. at the Peninsula Shopping Center, miscellaneous bottles of alcohol, tortillas, napkins, dressing and batteries were reported stolen from an open business. Two suspects were arrested.

Nov. 4

Petty theft

Between about 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the 27100 block of Silver Spur Road, a driver’s license, social security card, U.S. currency bluetooth headphones and cell phone case were reported stolen.

Arrests/citations

During this time, two suspects were arrested for burglary and one suspect was arrested for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
