Peninsula's Samantha Inana is one of six seniors on the team's roster.

Samantha Inana's layup with just over a minute to play in overtime was all Peninsula needed before handing rival PV a 48-44 Bay League loss on Tuesday night.

Inana led Peninsula (13-9, 3-2) with 13 points and six rebounds, but it was her final two points that were the most important.

After Inana's basket, Kristin Hanaoka stole the ball at midcourt before Kellie Au converted her two free throws to give the Panthers a three-point lead.

Ebun Kalejaiye missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer with 11 seconds left, and Hanaoka added a block on the games final shot to seal the Panthers victory.

Hanaoka finished with 8 points and 5 steals, while Au added 7 points and 8 rebounds. Kalejaiye led PV (15-9, 1-4) with 15 points. Mari Shigekawa added 9, while Sara Yamada had 7. Djae Berberabe scored six for the Sea Kings.
PV will host Peninsula in the regular season finale Jan 31. The girls game tips off at 6, with the boys game to follow.
